The Spiral

The human mind always makes progress, but it is a progress made in spirals.

Cycles

Creation

Centering

Conscious awakening

Don’t be fooled by the simplicity of the spiral.

As one of the oldest geometrical signs, spiral symbolism is one of the ways our early ancestors related to creation and their connection to the vast universe.

Its no wonder the exquisite elegance of the spiral holds a particular draw for many of us.

In the natural world we see the spiral occurring over and over. Ferns, horns, tornadoes, typhoons, whirlpools, snails, snakes, seashells, even our great galaxy, the Milky Way .

Spiral symbolism can serve as a depiction of our ultimate enlightenment. This symbol can represent the path leading from outer consciousness (materialism, external orientation, ego), to the inner soul (enlightenment, essential self, expanded understanding).

In terms of growth cycles, the spiral can represent the expanding nature of consciousness. Beginning at the core and spiralling outwardly. This defines the transition from inner (intended) world to outer (manifested) world; representing the movement of evolution on both an individual and collective scale.

We can say that the spiral is truly one of the essential patterns of creation.

Where will it take you?
